Joyful Offering — Boundless Blessings Received
The Southern California Center graciously welcomes three thangkas for the 2025 Thangka Project.
The Buddha mentions the merits of creating Buddhist images in many sutras, such as The Sutra on the Merits of Creating Buddha Images, The Great Treasure Heap Sutra, The Sutra of Questions from the Dragon King of the Sea, The Sutra on the Merits of Bathing the Buddha's Image, The Avatamsaka Sutra, and The Sutra on the Blessings of Erecting Buddhist Images, among many others.
By welcoming and enshrining a thangka, one accumulates merit and enhances wisdom — planting the seeds of a Dharma connection for oneself and all beings, growing and progressing lifetime after lifetime, all the way to Bodhi.
